Single-family homes cover almost half of Los Angeles - Curbed LA

In 1946, when Los Angeles updated its zoning code (creating the system still in use today), the city’s single-family zones were more fully defined—with nearly three pages of restrictions and regulations. Separate classifications were also created for duplexes and “suburban zones,” with similar parking and yard-size requirements.

These zoning rules helped to create the neatly arranged residential communities Angelenos today know and love, but they also severely limited available space for new development. That’s become a pressing concern as LA deals with a severe shortage of affordable housing.

“We’re clinging to this model—the old version of the American Dream,” housing advocate Mark Vallianatos tells Curbed. “It doesn’t make sense to reserve large portions of any city for only one home with a yard and just one family.”

Old Traditions, Werewolf Edition - Footloose
Stiles does not work his Omega ass off to attract frat boy Alphas. Absolutely not. He's at college to get his degree. If he's crushing on an Alpha who never crosses the lines of propriety, well, no one needs to know, right?

Google And Twitter Let A Lithuanian Game Developer Track Children - Conservative Daily Post
Google and Twitter allowed games “clearly and indisputably designed for children,” by Lithuanian company Tiny Lab Productions, to illegally “exfiltrate children’s data as they play,” including “precise location within 5 meters (15 feet).” The developer then allegedly sold the demographic characteristics and online activity of the young children to third party advertisers, all without parental consent.

The developer’s “Racing Games” were yanked from Google Play the same day that New Mexico’s Attorney General Filed suit in the U.S. District Court. The games are believed to be ones that “analyzed” and “stored” data, used to “build increasingly-detailed profiles of child users.” The data was also allegedly “shared with and sold to myriad third parties so that each can continue to build their own profiles

Nothingness and Becoming by Mynuet
When faced with new information, Stiles believed in finding out everything he could about it, and the knowledge of his own unimportance was no different. He started by observing, counting the number of people he spoke to each day and whether they met his eyes. With the baseline established, he then began changing variables: self-initiated versus Stiles-initiated, context-based or spontaneous, functional versus social, obligatory politeness versus meaningful interaction.

No one noticed the change in him as he parsed out the categories and wrote out the statistics that proved John Donne wrong. His bones were lighter, hollowing out from the inside until he felt brittle and breakable but weightless enough to fly.
